CFO Flyin, Deer Park, WA

CFO flyin: Deer Park, WA (DEW)

June 8th 2008

Let's get together in Washington!

To register your plans to attend this flyin, please fill out the form below.

Chad Vanderhoof has been thinking for a while that there should be a flyin up in the Washington State area, so he's taken the bull by the horns and inviting everyone up to Deer Park!

Just north of Spokan, Deer Park has some great flying on the way to and from, and should have great weather this time of year.

Lunch will be provided by the local pilots group, the Washington Pilot's Association-Deer Park Chapter. They are planning all you can eat burgers and such for $7 a head... hard to beat a deal like that!

The event will be a standard CFO flyin: arrive between 10 and 11:30, expect lunch around noon time, and in the early afternoon there will be a walkaround where each CFO Member says a few words about their airplane: How long they've had it, interesting things they've recently done to it, and perhaps a thing or too they'd like to do in the near future.

From there the conversations usually flow as people share ideas and suggestions and generally get to know each other. You know, the typical CFO flyin.

(Just for fun, to the right is what Deer Park looked like in 1962.)

For those itching for even a little more adventure, there is talk of the local pilot's group setting up a little hangar-cleaning Hangar Sale / swap meet in the morning. Come early enough (like around 9) and you might even catch some breakfast.

Chad points out that there are plenty of things to do in the area if you'd like to make a weekend of it, in fact he has made a committment to his significant other to fly over to Coeur d'Alene on the late afternoon and catch a dinner cruise on the lake there. If that sounds interesting to you, drop a line to Chad or call him on his cell and get the details of his plans. (There are no hotels in Deer Park, so don't plan on that!)

So the agenda is as follows:

9:00-ish Join the local pilots for breakfast and a swap meet / hangar sale if you're so inclined... this part is not a CFO event.
10:00 - 11:30 Watch the arrivals, greet and meet, enjoy the lovely day.
Noon-ish All you can eat Hamburgers.
1:30 or so CFO Cardinal Walkaround
around 3:30 or 4:00 Head home or join Chad in his adventures: end of CFO event.

If you are interested and planning to attend, please fill out the form below.

For further information contact Chad Vanderhoof by email (CPVanderhoof@aol.com) or by phone ( Home 509-292-1223 / Cell 509-939-0642) He actually prefers the phone so dial accordingly.
