You will find information about the airport at This Link. The airport is situated about 80 km S-E of Budapest on a small, private air field with hard surface runway 14 - 32, equiped with lights for night flying, paralell - well kept grass strip, LL100 fuel, Cardinal service(!), hangar space if required, and a flight planning room. For hotel information check out the hotel web site for info on their restaurant, sport center, suna, pool, etc. It is located right at the airport. You can see more information about this facility at this page. Remember that due to the Shengen border concept, EU originating aircraft/pilots do not have to deal with customs. Flying in Hungary is easy, the controllers speak good English, they are very helpful and restrictions are few. Generally the wether by the beginning of May is good with temperatures in the mid to high teens. The country is mostly flat with only a few hills along the way. Suggested arrival Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon we will have a discussion of mutual interest and will have an opportunity to introduce our aircraft and ourselves. There will be other simultanious programmes going on at the airport, like a local "goulash" cooking contest and special events may be organized for the evening, like a buggy ride to the nearby Bugac national park. Departures back home any time on Sunday I look forward to seeing you there!
