This is my official invitation to a CFO flyin at Nanaimo, B.C. on June 1.
This is the day before the big Nanaimo flyin. That evening the flyin begins with the pig roast/BBQ.
Sunday morning is the Nanaimo Flying Club annual pancake breakfast, looking at the
various aircraft and, Transport Canada willing, flour bombing and spot landing
contests. We had fun in 2000, pictures on this page. We're working on finding pictures from 2001.. must be around here somewhere!

The plan for us Cardinal owners is to arrive between 10:00 and say 11:45. Look for the group of Cardinals, I've arranged for tiedown space together and the on-field
FSS will give directions if you mention you're with the CFO. Bring your own tiedown stakes and ropes. By the way, I'd really appreciate knowing how many intend to stay overnight so we have an idea of how much space we'll need.

There will be a poker ralley taking place that day, too, so those who want to
can participate. At noon we'll have lunch at the Cottonwood Golf Club, adjacent
to the airport, down taxiway G. There's room for a half dozen or more to park
there, depending on how close we want our wings.
We're planning for a tech talk at 2:00. This will definitely happen at Nanaimo. That will give us plenty of time to talk and compare aircraft. That should take the rest of the day .
For those of you south of the border, there is Customs service at Nanaimo, Victoria and Boundary Bay.
The local airport club's pig roast is a repeat of last years great event. Some
members of the RCMP have their own BBQ company, Pigs R Us. It was a great feast last year, not to be missed!
