The Cardinal Flyers are a group of owners, operators and
flyers of the Cessna 177 Cardinal. This is our web home, the
Cardinal Flyers Online.
Our purpose is to bring Cardinal Flyers together around
the world, both virtually and physically, while communicating our member's experiences,
wisdom and knowledge in creative and effective ways. We are about technical knowledge exchange, but also about building a community of Cardinal owners.
We do this through a daily digest
email, along with this web system. This web system currently contains over 1200 pages and 5000 images and files. This page is your launching point to navigate this system.
The CFO Digest is a nearly daily email containing several questions, answer and comments between and among the CFO membership. It represents hundreds of years of combined experience, ably moderated by Paul Millner. If you want to really know
your Cardinal, you need to follow the CFO Digest.
This system consists of two main sections: the Public section and the Members section.
The Public section is for people who are exploring the Cardinal as a possible
aircraft for purchase. It discusses the history and facts of the Cardinal and goes
into the reputation of the Cardinal as well as the realities of owning one. Start here, but once you decide that the Cardinal is the airplane for you, we recommend that you join CFO and dig in more deeply. Many members tell us they learned enough in one evening on CFO to save them hundreds of dollars while shopping for their Cardinal.
The Member's section is the place where CFO members come together to exchange
information and ideas, learn more about their Cardinal in-depth and share the joys and
challenges of operating, maintaining and enjoying their Cardinals.
We can't say it enough.. you can learn a great deal about the Cardinal, as well as the Cardinal Flyers, in
the public areas. But if you are getting serious about purchasing a Cardinal you
need to get the more in-depth details of inspection, maintenance and ownership of
a Cardinal. You will need (and want!) to become a CFO Member.
