(PFS) of Daytona Beach has been granted Supplemental Type Certificates for the Cessna Cardinal 177 and 177B models. Approval for the C177A is expected after completion of an FAA data review. The long-awaited STC provides the Cessna Cardinal a 23 horsepower boost resulting in shorter takeoff rolls and a 150 to 300 FPM increase during climbs. The Power Flow Systems tuned exhaust enables the engine to breathe more efficiently, therefore decreasing fuel flow an average 2.2 GPH while lowering and stabilizing CHTs and EGTs. During FAA flight tests, the Cessna Cardinal 177B measured a consistent ten percent takeoff performance increase with an extra 200 FPM during climb. The PFS tuned exhaust is manufactured from 321 stainless steel tubing, 40% thicker than original equipment exhausts, and carries a 100% money back guarantee 60 days after installation and a one-year, or 500 hour warranty. PFS was granted the first tuned exhaust STC by the FAA in January 1999 for the Lycoming 0-320 powered Cessna 172’s. Since then, the company has delivered over 170 Cessna 172 tuned exhausts to satisfied customers. PFS president, Robin Thomas says, “Our tuned exhaust system will not only enhance the aircraft’s performance significantly, but increase its fuel efficiency as well.” Darren Tilman, PFS general manager states, “We’re very excited about this product. Installation is easy and doesn’t require any out of the ordinary inspection requirements. Our state of the art technology gives pilots a lot more bang for their buck.” Power Flow Systems can be reached at 1-877-693-7356, or emailed at info@powerflowsystems.com Return to Powerflow Page. |
