Feedback on Barron Thomas

Someone asked on the Digest what it was like to work with a broker on the purchase of an airplane, and the answer came back as follows:

From: Ken Cartmill (cartmill@flash.net)

>Any recent opinions on working with a broker (ie: B Thomas) for my first Cardinal?

Eric -

I purchased my cardinal this past April from Barron Thomas. I can tell you that he was truly a man of his word and took care of everything. This was my first airplane purchase and he made it easy and enjoyable. There were some squawks that needed attention and he had no problem taking care of this, even helped us decide paint colors as our deal included a total repaint.

We had Mike at Air West in Henderson Nevada perform out pre-buy and do most of the squawk repairs. He does excellent work and makes sure that the plane is truly airworthy. We should know, after picking ours up, we flew it cross country, as in across the country from Vegas to Atlanta.

Put me down as a reference for Barron, he stands behind what he sells.

Ken Cartmill '69 Cardinal FG - N30421

BTW - Plane uses one quart of oil every 20 hours of time.
