Digital Magnetic Field Fuel Level

Good Fuel Management starts with Good Fuel Measurement
If you're like most Cardinal owners, you're more than ready for a replacement or overhaul of your fuel level senders. If you are like most pilots, you're looking not just a replacement but hoping a new technology will come along for measuring aircraft fuel level, even better a technology that plugs into the same location. That day has arrived!

All CiES Inc magnetic field fuel senders are FAA TSO'd, which means that our sender design had to meet or exceed over 75 separate criteria for accurate fuel level measurement. No other fuel level sender that you can install in your Cardinal is FAA TSO approved. CiES Fuel level senders meet the most critical level of TSO fuel quantity indication, and have an accuracy rating of better than 0.75% of full fuel level or approx. a quarter gallon in your Cardinal. These measurements for accuracy are taken under all environmental conditions your aircraft could potentially encounter.

While FAA TSO approval results in a FAA approved aircraft part - similar to your wing tip strobes, TSO approval is not installation approval and you will need a FAA 337 or the use of an instrument or MFD STC that lists our senders as an option.

The sender simply bolts into the wing fuel tank in the identical manner to the replaced Leigh, Stewart-Warner or Rochester Gauge senders.

In addition, the sender is an outstanding addition to the installation of an aftermarket fuel level display such as the JPI EDM-900 or Aerospace Logic FL202D, as well as all Garmin systems and the Dynon Skyview. This sender is fully compatible with these displays and will provide highly accurate readings to support these much improved indicators.

The CiES fuel level sender is an outstanding addition to the installation of an aftermarket fuel level display like those made by JPI, Aerospace Logic, Auricle or Electronics International This sender is fully compatible with MFD and graphic displays and will provide highly accurate readings to support these much improved cockpit fuel information.

Wiring to the sender needs to change for this magnetic field, digital installation , the CiES Sender requires aircraft power to operate and provides a separate signal out to indicate fuel level. This is a three wire system vs. the single wire presently utilized in the Cardinal aircraft. We require Power (12 to 28 VDC), Ground (available on the aircraft structure) and a Signal wire to the Gauge or display.

Install times from a qualified shop will be approx. 13 to 16 hrs for sender install, wiring, calibration and paperwork.

CFO highly recommends CiES Inc. for fuel level senders . Centrally located in Bend Oregon, Scott Philiben and the crew stand ready to meet your every Cardinal fuel indication need.
