Twin Oaks Flyin 2000

From: Ron Magnus (ronm@hevanet.com)
Subject: Recap/Thank you Twin Oaks

Hi Everybody,

A big thank you to everyone that came over to Stark's Twin Oaks airpark yesterday. Nancy and I enjoyed having the opportunity to meet the faces that go with the names on the digest.

Fortunately the weather was pretty good for around here. In the morning the ceiling was about 2000 overcast but improved to scattered later in the day, no rain, with the temperature in the low 70's and humidity around 20-30%.

All told I believe there were about 15 Cardinals in attendance and close to 30 people.

The folks that came the farthest were the Gaidos's from Watsonville, CA followed closely by Paul dodging the Q's in southern Oregon Friday afternoon.

The "long time owner" award goes to Bob and Edie Grub from Auburn, WA who are the original owners of their great looking "B".

My "morning after" thoughts are that maybe we will try this again next summer. We have some ideas that we'll be talking about in the future

Once again thank you again especially to Paul and his passion for this aircraft series so that so many people can share their interests as well.

Ron & Nancy Magnus Portland, OR (slightly sunny and dry Portland, OR)

[Thanks, great to meet you and Nancy, Ron! Thanks for all your hospitality, and the great weekend! Paul]

Please check out this link for a large batch of photos from Twin Oaks. Thanks to Jake Jacobs for the pictures and for setting up this link on his system.
